Responsible for the management, establishment and development of sales leads and new business channels encompassing reseller and other initiatives for the company.
Primary Objectives: Grow the Channel businesses using Rectron's' portfolio of productsKeep up to date knowledge on Rectron's portfolio of productsSubmit reports as required by Rectron and its VendorsMaintain accurate reporting on all sales, performance and activityParticipate in weekly conference calls with Vendors and/or meetings as requiredIncrease Rectron's product visibility amongst different vertical marketsIdentify new business opportunities turn them into SalesBuild Relationships with key stakeholders in our customer businessesProject a positive image of the company in the competitive market & with valued
customers.Work with channel partners, to understand market changes and demands.Set pricing to meet revenue and profitability goalsAbility to communicate professionally within all areas of the company.Identify and liaise with marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the sales strategy of the company and the target customer.Exploit every opportunity to gain market share and increase revenues and profitability in line with the Company strategyCo-ordinate and work with the Regional Sales ManagersTotal focus on excellent customer serviceQuality of relationships and network of business contacts maintainedQuality of ideas and recommendations to maximize business opportunities.Understand the competitive market, both supplier and Rectron competitors with regards to pricing, unique selling points, differentiators etc.Be a spokesperson for Rectron at specific events and on New business leadership with the press.Attend Industry and Vendor Functions and conferences and provide feedback on industry trendsCustomer Relationships Identify and establish relationships with new potential customersFind new opportunities and present these to our key customersWork with other departments and internal colleagues to meet customer needsAssist all customers with queries, quotes and orders.Ensure that customers are up to date with all special offers and promotionsBuild good relationships with customersEvaluate and constantly improve on quality standards that will enhance customer experience and cost efficiencyUnderstand the customer market, economy, sales trends, lulls and opportunities in the business, focusing on new business development and emerging marketsIt is extremely important that you spend the majority of your time in communications with customers in order to educate and advise them on strategies for their businesses.Vendor Relationships Maintain good working relationships with VendorsProvide reports and information as required by VendorsTake part in weekly forecast meetingsAttend Vendor monthly, quarterly reviews as requiredStaff Management Make sure that each objective set to the team is achieved and measured and assess
performance of your team on a half yearly basisLead, Motivate, develop and direct your team, making sure that they are adequately equipped to perform their job roles and responsibilities.Make sure that your team is provided the necessary training needed in order to complete their role successfully to their maximum potential.Implement development programs that increase awareness and performance of your direct teamDevelop a team sales plan / KPI's to ensure that all team members follow an agreed
Strategy and that customer satisfaction is improvedEducation/Qualification MatricSkills & Competencies Strong business acumenA high level of communication skills, both written and oral.Strong presentational skillsThorough knowledge of the vision, mission and strategy development of RectronAbility to think beyond the immediate perceived requirement of the customer.Able to responsibly delegate to othersAble to understand and interpret analytical dataInfluential, confident and motivatedLogical and decisiveEncourage fellow co-workersAbility to handle stressful situationsMeeting project deadlinesNetworking and negotiationIdentifying opportunities and prospectingClosing Skillsproblem solving Identifying customer needs and challengesGood Market knowledgeExperience (experience required for the job) Minimum 3 years' experience in Product Management, with specific emphasis on developing and establishing distribution channelsFace to face customer interactionExperience with VendorsTeam ManagementMinimum 3 years' experience with Renewable Energy products and servicesExtensive experience in all aspects of Customer Relationship ManagementStrong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirementsProven ability to drive sales teamsAbility to successfully manage multiple projects from concept to deliveryAccountabilities Full ownership and accountability for Sales and Gross Profit plans for the new business within Rectron for the financial yearMeet new customer targetsDevelop and implement an aggressive new business strategy that will be an integral part of the company strategic plan.Align all new business resources touching customers to ensure consistent engagement and achievement of the agreed sales goals (this includes Revenue, GP, Margin Contribution, Customer breadth and Product Ranging).Hold regular meetings the CEO / Sales Management Team to review
Performance, communicate and organize training programs.Provide various management information reports, competitive analysis and market intelligence on sales activities.You will be measured on Revenue and stock holding as well as GP percentage and it is imperative that you manage this and make sure that it is communicated to all incumbent staff.Propose an overall budget, in conjunction with the executive team, to ensure success
