This role offers you the opportunity to be part of Global Banking School's exciting Careers and Employability Service team and be a central part of enhancing student employability and supporting students to transition into the world of work. This is an invigorating opportunity to join an expanding and innovative Careers and Employability Service team working across a number of campuses.
We are looking for a forward thinking, driven, autonomous and innovative individual with great attention to detail skills to join our exceptional Careers and Employability Service team. You will have a direct impact on the support that our students and alumni receive, arranging engaging workshops and events and collaborating with external partners to deliver valuable placements that enhance their futures. You will also be supporting the Head of Careers and Employability and the academic team to embed careers education and employability within the curriculum.
The role also requires you to work in partnership with the Careers Consultants and Placement Officers whose primary role is to support those students. The appointed Careers Associate will be the primary contact for collecting data and documentation across all campuses and will work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver a national service.
Now in a period of considerable growth, we are expanding our Careers and Employability Service team to ensure that every student has access to personal, bespoke support on their own unique Careers journey. This role has considerable scope for development, both within careers, placements, entrepreneurship and beyond.

Generate employment opportunities for GBS students and alumni by establishing and maintaining productive employer partnerships. To support relationships with employers and different industry sectors, and to continue developing placement and professional development opportunities for GBS students. To maintain and support the growth of a database of placement and volunteering providers with suitable opportunities in Healthcare, Business, and other related fields and to connect employers with GBS students To assist multiple student placements. This will include ensuring all the correct paperwork is received from the student and the employer; ensuring the placement is set up correctly between GBS and the employer; and to ensure that GBS remains compliant in accordance with the placement requirements and partnership organisations. To ensure accurate work placement, careers and entrepreneurship student records are maintained and compiling reports required by department. To develop online resources to support careers, placements and student opportunities. To assist employers in promoting and advertising job opportunities within GBS to our students through our online platform, targeted emails, and careers newsletter. To support with developing on campus activities, presenting information, delivering workshops and on campus events such as job fairs. To work with local employers in identifying and addressing skill gaps and employment opportunities for the students (temporary, part-time, full time and on-line.) To undertake some travel between GBS campuses. To regularly evaluate and review workshops and events and obtain feedback from students and employers. To undertake any other duties that may be required to meet the demands of the service and the role. Flexible in working hours to cover evening and weekend demands as necessary. Ability to think strategically and to communicate that thinking effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills and experienced in developing and maintaining stakeholder relationships. Experience of client relationship management. The ability to achieve targets in a fast-paced organisation. Intermediate IT skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new technology. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
