Buyer

Duties and Responsibilities: Liaise with suppliers on a regular basis to ensure timeous delivery of ordered stock Implement, monitor, updated procurement programme/schedule. Report on the co-ordination of stock deliveries to management teams. Record and manage tender enquiries and quotations Management of all supplier related issues, including payment terms and delivery Issuing of Purchase orders Management of stock levels to ensure optimal stock levels Building stock models by using sales data over periods Work with sales to forecast demand and meet orders in a timely manner Analysing and implementation of Procurement processes, and identifying opportunities to streamline processes and reduce costs Managing and controlling of inventory to minimize risk of obsolete stock Liaison with freight forwarders for clearing and costings of freight Facilitation of stock takes Adding new products and maintenance of items on IT system Work closely with suppliers conducting analysis of demand/supply
