BUSINESS PERFORMANCE ANALYST, D LOWER:SERITICOAL, HEAD OFFICE, GAUTENG
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL

The role:
The role will be responsible for consolidation of financial and commercial operational and corporate results, ensuring accurate and timely group management reports generation and providing commercial support to the operations. The role will also be responsible to manage and provide guidance on the performance analysis process for the operations. The role will oversee all budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of these including managing the analysis of performance against these.
Provide financial reporting support and input into generation of policies for the group and all subsidiaries;
Consolidate data and submit reports in the approved formats, including budgets, forecasts, monthly and quarterly reporting;
Implement and monitor the processes and procedures to develop budgets and forecasts in partnership with operational analysts;
Consolidate budget and forecast outputs, generate variance analysis commentary and generate group reports for EXCO, the Board and other stakeholders;
Provide input and support for the external audit and any internal audit processes;
Provide input into the Annual Financial Statements for the group and all subsidiaries;
Liaise with operations and provide support on all commercial requirements and deliverables;
Provide financial support to centralized functions for month end, budget and forecast periods;
Ensure the development, maintenance and upkeep of the ERP system ensuring that all reporting is in line with and meets all necessary requirements.

You will need:
Honours degree in Finance (NQF Level 8)
Experience in a management accounting and reporting role
Trust and honesty in dealing with cash and finances
Knowledge of relevant legislation including: Tax Law; Royalties bill; Mine Health and Safety Act and Minerals and Petroleum Resources Development Act
In-depth knowledge of Management Accounting incl. budgeting and forecasting
Knowledge of general finance especially the budgeting and reporting process
Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
A good working knowledge of the Financial and Consolidation Systems and processes
An understanding of mining processes
Relevant understanding of applicable Financial policies and procedures
Abreast of best practices in the Financial Market and Industry
Good communications skills (verbal and written)
Strong report writing skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Planning and organisational skills
Project Management skills
Computer literacy – SAP, MS Office suite (Excel and PowerPoint at an Advanced level)
Valid driver’s license
Valid Certificate of Fitness or able to obtain

Advantageous:
Professional accreditation e.g. CIMA/CA
Experience in the mining industry
