As a Business Development Manager in our commercial team you will focus on selling our Larger than parcel services to SME's and specialist automotive transportation to dealerships/wholesalers to support them with their logistic needs. We act as an extension of their business allowing them to scale up/scale down depending on peaks and troughs of their business.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the sales process and excels at researching leads, starting new relationships and building pipelines. We will be looking for someone who can move into a 360 sales role really quickly as soon as you are able to demonstrate the right level of product knowledge and closing ability.
What you'll be doing: Pro-actively generate leads and opportunities utilising multiple channels to actively build your pipeline working towards KPIsEngage a range of client stakeholders including MD's, Transport Managers, Commercial Directors, Procurement, etc to understand their needs and objectivesHold online meetings with prospective clients in the UK to engage them in AnyVan products and servicesDevelop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of our solutions and services and deliver our USP's in a clear and concise wayWork to agreed targets that focus on both numbers (revenue generation) and ethics (selling in the right way)Develop into a full 360 sales role where you have the opportunity to close the deal and manage the relationship moving forwardBe provided the opportunity to progress into a more progressive role and develop account management skillsPassionate about business to business sales with a proven track record in business development with small and medium enterprises in the UK marketAt least 3years experience with a proven track record consistently meeting both activity pipelines and revenue targetsKnowledge and exposure to the logistics industry would be beneficial but not essentialExposure and high levels of capability working across the full sales lifecycle from lead generation to closing deals Exceptional written and verbal communication skillsExperience with sales and/ or marketing software (i.e. salesloft, sales navigator, HubSpot) Strong emotional intelligenceSelf-motivated and resilient with a strong work ethic ZAR30-50,000 per month depending on experience Strong commission structure Medical Aid contribution ZAR1000 per month 5% contribution towards pension fund20 days holiday a year plus public holidaysIn-house baristaFriday drinks and regular social activitiesThe chance to work for a fast-growing disruptive technology businessDE&I In our pursuit of fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace, we invite individuals from all backgrounds to join us in our mission. Working Patterns We are extremely proud of our culture and believe in the many benefits that being in the office provides - all our roles require regular time in our office in the central business district in Cape Town.
We do not offer fully remote roles but we support hybrid working wherever possible (3 days in office, 2 days from home). However, to meet the needs of our customers and business operations many of our Operational and Commercial roles are fully office based.
