The Da Vinci Institute for Technology Management (Pty) Ltd is a private higher education institution registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training under the Higher Education Act, 1997.Da Vinci offers qualifications from Higher Certificate (NQF 5) up to Doctorate level (NQF 10).We are growing and are looking to appoint a team of Business Developers who are passionate about education.
DaVinci is looking for a highly motivated and experienced B2B Business Developer to join our team. We are looking for a B2B Business Developer who can help us to grow our business and expand our reach into new markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in developing and closing new business relationships and sales. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying and attracting new clients / leads, developing and executing sales presentations, and negotiating and closing contracts.This includes generating and seeking out potential new opportunities, and developing and managing relationships with potential clients, influencers and key stakeholders. The candidate must have the ability to be a proactive sales professional through networking and prospecting, to deliver on all conversion KPIs. Included in this role is the responsibility to evaluate new opportunities to ensure resources focus on the best opportunities, managing proposals, submissions and tenders and providing strategic direction and leadership for the successful conclusion of the opportunities, which will include new business contract negotiations.
Duties and responsibilitiesAs a Business developer B2B, you will be accountable for:
·Manage and drive sales growth and activities in line with company objectives and monthly targets
·Develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, negotiating client pricing while maintaining the client data base and prospecting list
·Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers
·Accountability for pursuing of leads and moving them through the sales cycle to enrolment
·Creating own sales leads through prospecting and networking
·Developing quotes and proposals for prospective clients
·Performing lead generation and tracking activities (presentations, events, expo's etc.)
·Tracking all progress per client / lead on the CRM system
Minimum Requirements·Minimum of an undergraduate degree.A postgraduate qualification will be advantageous
·Well-networked with a proven track record of success in developing and closing new business / clients relationships
Experience:·At least four years' sales experience in B2B, with a minimum of two years in Higher Education
Additional requirements·Preference will be given to South African citizens
·Fully setup to work in a remote capacity as needed when not at office
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team
·Ability to follow a structured sales methodology
·In-depth knowledge of creative and sales processes
·High energy and self-motivated
·Excellent presentation abilities
·Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
·Driver's license and own reliable vehicle is essential for client meetings and events
·Ability to travel locally
Functional Competencies·Product knowledge (to be acquired after appointment)
·Excellent computer skills with the ability to fully utilise the MS Office Suite
·Daily tracking of lead generation, contacts, applications and registrations
·Ability to work under pressure to achieve set targets
·You may be required to work after hours or over weekends, should the need arise

·Takes initiative to source new ways of generating leads and converting leads to registrations
·Communicates effectively both telephonically, in person and via email with all levels in an organisation
·Speak with clarity and confidence and as such possesses excellent presentation skills
·Works systematically by prioritising daily activities and planning for events and meetings
·Has a focus on business development and revenue generation with a positive return on investment
·Is innovative and is willing to propose new ideas which promotes the success of the brand
·Possesses a positive attitude toward education and be a lifelong learner by continuously pursuing learning and career development opportunities
·Acts professionally when dealing with all stakeholders
