One of our clients based in Durban South , is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their Development and Construction Company. Qualifications: 3 years bookkeeping experience Ideally has experience working for construction company Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting Worked with Quick Books Debtor Recon Monthly bank recons Capturing and Managing bookkeeping journals Proven ability to manage accounting figures and financial records Hands on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software Proficiency in English and ideally Zulu as there will be communication with site staff but if not its ok. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Responsibilities: Daily bank recons Capturing and Managing bookkeeping journals Debtor and Creditor Recons Ability to work with high volumes Ordering of Material Liaising with site staff to ensure sites comply material processes. The creditors had been managed by me to this point, but the candidate would need to manage the Creditors from purchase requisitions through to invoicing creditor reconciliations at month end (with my assistance when needed).
