About the role: The BI Consultant will be responsible for designing, building and deploying reporting solutions. This includes dashboards, data transformation, and integration of data sources. Package: Up to R65000/Month Key Responsibilities: Support BI team in solving Application Management Services issues for BI solutions.Execute implementation of BI strategy for European business units, which includes supporting global BI team in system and database architectureLeading and executing European BI projects and communicating directly with European management teams.European and global project portfolio management, tracking and reporting.Define, communicate and manage business intelligence platform policies and procedures.Being point of contact for technical activities for the European business key users.Responsible for designing, building and deploying reporting solutionsMaintain awareness of industry trends and developments in the fields of business intelligence, planning, analytics and big data.Develop improvement and innovation projects/programs for BI & Planning solutions and platformsRequirements: The position requires an advanced degree in information systems, engineering, computer science (or related discipline) or a business degree combined with appropriate technical skills.Ideally, the individual would possess 1-3 years working as an analyst in a functional business area, 3-5 additional years' experience developing solutions in a business intelligence or data warehouse environment and 3-5 years' experience in developing front end solutions, preferable in SAP Analytic Cloud and Power BI.The individual should possess strong project management skills and have experience managing multiple projects at once.This position requires experience using modelling tools especially in the context of SAP BW or BW/4HANA , extensive experience in data models of SAP ERP and SAP BW or BW/4HANA and understanding of Frontend tools like SAP Analytic Cloud or Microsoft Power BI.This position requires someone who is self-driven, displays initiative and has a proven track record of using creative problem-solving skills and independent thinking.The nature of this position requires the individual to successfully design, build, and operate a global business intelligence and analytics platform.This platform will include both the data and tools to allow both operational and strategic information workers to effectively access and analyse relevant data and analytics.Projects are varied and complex and the individual in this position must have a functional understanding of multiple business areas and systems employed throughout the company and effectively integrate those areas by coordinating cross-functional teams and building cross-functional solutions
