As an Assistant Wedding & Event Coordinator for a luxury Hotel, you will play a crucial role in supporting our lead coordinators in planning and executing flawless events. You will work closely with clients, vendors, and other team members to ensure that every detail is meticulously coordinated, resulting in memorable and stress-free experiences for our clients. From initial consultations to event day coordination, you will assist in all aspects of event planning and execution, contributing to the overall success of our events.Responsibilities:Assist lead coordinators in conducting initial client consultations to understand their vision, preferences, and budget.Collaborate with clients to develop event timelines, layouts, and detailed plans tailored to their needs and expectations.Research and recommend vendors, venues, and services that align with client's preferences and budgets.Coordinate vendor communication, contracts, and payments, ensuring all agreements are fulfilled and deadlines are met.Assist with venue visits, tastings, and other client meetings as needed.Create and maintain comprehensive event files, including contracts, timelines, and client correspondence.Provide on-site support during events, overseeing setup, managing vendors, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.Assist with event logistics, including transportation, accommodations, and guest management.Handle administrative tasks such as answering inquiries, drafting proposals, and maintaining inventory.Contribute creative ideas and innovative solutions to enhance the overall client experience and exceed expectationRequirements Grade 12 Hotel, Food and Beverage or Event Diploma 2 Years of Wedding/ Banqueting experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel Computer LiterateHighly presentableFluent in English & Afrikaans Third European language will be beneficial Knowledge of Opera and Micros will be a bonus
