The Assistant Financial Manager will support the Financial Manager in planning, implementing, managing, and running all finance activities within the Faircape Healthcare portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Financial Manager to ensure deadlines are metProvide leadership, direction, and management to the Payments, Cashbook, Creditors controller and Credit controllerEnsuring cashbooks, age analysis, are completed for the monthly management account packsEnsure monthly management accounts are accurate and supported with relevant documentationEnsure clerks are completing their daily workflowsCollaborate with the Senior Management Team to contribute financial expertise to organisational strategiesReview financial systems, internal controls, and proceduresLiaise with Directors, Finance & Staffing Committees, providing financial reports and information for governance purposesPlanning and coordinating the external audit processReview Annual Financial Statements of the entities within the portfolioIdentify, develop, and implement effective work processes, procedures, and controlsQualifications and Experience: Minimum NQF Level 6 in Accounting/Management Accounting (NQF Level 7 advantageous)Managerial experience in commercial/corporate/operational environmentProven leadership skills essentialKnowledge of Xero Accounting System advantageousSolid understanding of financial processes, systems, and related lawsSkills and Attributes: Ability to analyse financial data to make informed decisionsExcellent analytical and abstract reasoning skillsDeadline orientedExcellent administrative skillsEffective time management skills to handle multiple financial tasks, meet deadlines, and prioritise activities.Able to identify system inefficiencies and propose solutionsProven organisational skills and good time managementExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong management skillsExcellent computer skillsSpecific Requirements Solid and positive referencesClear health recordClear credit recordNo criminal recordWorking hours are Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 17h00 with a 45-minute lunch break. Salary on offer from R 45,000.00 Cost to Company per month, the salary will be dependent on relevant experience, skills and attributes.
