Engineering Company based in Roodepoort Gauteng is looking for an Asset Manager to join their team urgently.
Requirements and Skills: Matric or NQF equivalentQualified Mill Wright10 years' Machine tool Maintenance experienceConversant with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993, GCC preferableStrong computer literacy skillsGood organizational and record keeping ability ISO 9001 implementation and reporting experience integrating into My SHEQ.Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment.Identify critical machines required for rehabilitation.Respond promptly to corrective maintenance needs, ensuring minimal downtime.Collaborate with the Factory Manager and Assembly Manager to plan maintenance activities in alignment with production schedules.Lead a team of two fitters, providing guidance and support for efficient plant maintenance.Coordinate work assignments and prioritize tasks to ensure optimal coverage.Demonstrate a strong understanding of a wide range of machinery, including CNC lathes, CNC multi-tasking machines, CNC boring mills, grinding equipment, welding tools, compressors, generators, lifting equipment, and facility machineryApply in-depth knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, electronics, and mechanics in troubleshooting and maintaining machinery.Conduct regular training sessions for the maintenance team to enhance their skills in these areasIdentify opportunities for improving equipment efficiency and reliability.Propose and implement solutions to streamline maintenance processes and reduce downtime.Keep record of plant maintenance on the IMS Equipment module. Use the mySHEQ schedules to assist with preventative maintenance planningKeep equipment manuals and drawings in good condition to ensure they are controlled and remain in a high-quality condition.Digitize maintenance records and resources where possible.manufacture of one off replacement parts
