Part-time adjunct faculty pool in Art to fill opportunities on a course-by-course basis as need arises.JOB DESCRIPTION The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is regularly seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach Art . WPI's Art faculty teach introductory courses,intermediate class ,advanced technique seminars, and capstone practicums. The Art curriculum emphasizes visual arts (drawing, painting, and modeling); art and architectural history; digital imaging and computer art; animation and game design, and video production.
We are looking for outstanding artists/scholars, but successful candidates mustalsodemonstrate teaching excellence and versatility as well as an abilityto jumpintoanexisting curriculum with creative and critical pedagogical approaches.A successful candidate should hold a n appropriate terminal degree such as an MFA or a Ph.D. in an appropriate field .
