Warehouse Picker

The warehouse picker/packer is responsible for picking orders, receiving incoming stock, maintaining the warehouse, and maintaining the correct stock levels.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Accuracy of picking & checking all replenishment orders. Repacking of all returned stock on the correct shelves. Check imported stock on arrival and ensure paperwork is handed over to the buyer without unnecessary delay. Correct labelling and packing of all incoming stock in the allocated positions. Collecting manufactured stock with the necessary completed paperwork from the manufacturing warehouse and packing it on the shelves immediately. Offloading of delivery vehicles and delivery of replenishment orders to the sales warehouse. General ad-hoc picking of orders for walk-in clients. Secondary Assisting with quarterly stock takes. Assist with interim stock takes. General housekeeping of the warehouse, keeping shelves neat, tidy, and correctly labelled. General Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed. Manage recycling of packaging materials. Assist with tasks related to the company operations that might fall outside the responsibilities mentioned above. REQUIREMENTS Essential Skills and Experience One or more years of work experience in a similar role. Ability to work harmoniously with a diverse range of people. Proficient with using tools required for this position. Physically agile and dexterous. Qualifications Matric, or suitable equivalent, will be advantageous. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Picking accuracy levels. Accuracy of incoming stock. Stock count results.
