Community Linkage Officer

Good health and quality of life is what motivates us to provide healthcare solutions and support for those who need it most.We are looking for aCommunity Linkage Officerwho will be responsible for HTS and ensure that proper linkage to care of all HIV infected patients is done according to DoH guidelines.Key duties and responsibilities:Mobilising people in the communities to encourage them to get tested prior screeningProvide HIV testing services (HTS) to clientsBe available to assist all clients tested for HIV in the facility and from the community outreach sitesEnsure that all clients tested positive are linked into careProvide Index testing to all HIV positive clients found in the communityKeep proper records of clients who are tested and initiated on ARTAttend program meetings as required to discuss HTS/HIV/TB/STI related issuesGive Health education on HIV/TB and STIEnsure Quality testing by adhering to RTCQI standardsMinimum qualifications and experience:Grade 12 (Matric)At least 2 years' experience working as a HTS counsellor preferably in the community settingCertificate in Basic Hast, HIV Counselling, Adherence counsellingKnowledge of DoH, HTS guidelines and protocolsMust be able to work independently and in a teamBe able to work with little supervisionGood communication skillsClosing date: 24 March 2024In accordance with our Employment Equity goals and plan, preference will be given to suitable applicants from designated groups as defined in the Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998 and subsequent amendments thereto.
