We are looking for a VP of Finance to join one of the best backed start-ups in the UK, looking to change the way we buy and sell clothes. This company are truly unbelievable and have backing from global sportswear giant. This company are changing the way that will re-use clothes, shoes and everything in-between! The next 12 months are going to be critical with expanding the team to 200 heads, launching globally and securing Series A funding all in the next 8 months, something that, as VP of Finance you will be integral to.
As a VP of Finance coming in at this early stage you will have a unique opportunity to really shape this company. In the early stages you will be responsible for all aspects of the finance department. This will range from day to day tasks such as payroll through to invoicing and budgets. But as we build our function of the next 3 months your role will take on a much more strategic flavour. You will be responsible for all financial modelling, forecasting, due diligence and reporting to the board. Being a senior member of the team, your work will help structure the way we operate.
There are a few key requirements we would be looking for someone to be able to demonstrate to be considered for this VP of Finance:
- Firstly, you will be a Director of Finance or Head of Finance working in an SME or start-up
- You will have experience running day to day finance and still able to be "hands on" when requited
- You have experience in financial modelling, business planning and able to talk through how your work has helped guide business decisions.
- Lastly you will have worked in a start-up previously and been involved in preparing a company for Series A or B funding.
