Vehicle Technician

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team in Brackenfell.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of vehicles, ensuring top-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Servicing: Perform routine maintenance and servicing on light motor vehicles, SUVs, and 4x4s.Diagnostics: Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve vehicle faults and issues accurately.Repairs: Conduct mechanical repairs, including engine, transmission, suspension, and brake systems.Test Drives: Carry out test drives to ensure vehicles are operating correctly post-service.Tool Maintenance: Maintain personal tools and ensure workshop equipment is used responsibly.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of hoists, hydraulic tools, and personal protective equipment.Workshop Upkeep: Keep the work area clean and organized, ensuring tools are stored appropriately after use.Reporting: Provide accurate reports on work performed and parts required for vehicle repairs.
Minimum Requirements:Education: Matric / Grade 12 Certificate.Qualifications: Automotive Mechanic Trade Test Certification (mandatory).Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience as a qualified vehicle technician.Licenses: Valid driver's license (Code B or higher).Skills: Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools; strong understanding of automotive systems.Preferred Attributes:Brand Experience: Experience with VW, Audi, GWM, or Chery vehicles is advantageous.Technical Proficiency: Ability to accurately diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues.Customer Service: Strong communication skills to explain technical information to clients.Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.Adaptability: Willingness to stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.Remuneration and Benefits:Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.Benefits: Opportunities for further training and career advancement within the company.
