Unqualified Trailer Mechanic

Semi-Skilled Trailer Mechanic Needed - Location: Wellington (Cape Town) Previous Experience: Successful candidates must have experience in conducting major services on trailers (BPW, HENRED, SAF HOLLAND TRAILERS).
General Description: Responsible for carrying out workshop functions and repairs to companies vehicles and specifically trailers.
Key Performance Areas: Repairs and Service of Trailers (First Priority) Execute repairs, maintenance, standard services, and major annual services on trailers in accordance with guidelines and standards determined by the National Technical Manager.
Report any faults or unusual defects on trailers to management regarding repair, maintenance, structural errors, and tyres.
Perform quality checks on all trailers in the Alrode depot.
Responsible for all welding works on trailers and general welding as requested by management.
QC and Assist with Truck Tractor Repairs Assist with the performance of repairs, maintenance, and standard services in accordance with stipulated guidelines and standards as determined by the Technical Manager.
Control work assigned to the group in the workshop to ensure it is performed according to agreed guidelines and standards.
Assist and advise other co-mechanics and general workers as needed.
Report any errors, faults, or unusual defects on vehicles to management.
Ensure the work environment is safe and safety equipment is used where necessary (Mechanical expert and general worker).
Perform quality checks on vehicles in the depot.
General Be on standby after hours for Services department functions as required.
Maintain cleanliness in the work environment.
Administration Complete parts requisitions and submit them for authorization.
Complete worksheets and ensure that services are completed fully and in accordance with established standards, then forward job cards to Wellington.
