George is looking for a talented Underwriter to join their team.

The ideal candidate should be fully FAIS compliant with a minimum of 4 years' experience in both Commercial and Personal Lines, with an updated DOFA.
Experience from a broker environment and proficiency in Cardinal 360 are essential.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 4–5 years in Commercial / Personal Underwriting
Short-term insurance qualification NQF4 or higher
RE5 Certificate
FAIS compliance (personal/commercial lines)
Proficiency in Cardinal 360
Class of Business Training

Responsibilities:

Manage short-term insurance policies, including renewals, endorsements, and new business, ensuring high-quality service and profitable growth
Provide excellent service to clients and Account Executives
Build and maintain effective client relationships
Communicate regularly and effectively with clients and team members
Respond to inquiries and resolve issues promptly
Educate clients on coverage details and document accordingly
Assist in risk mitigation strategies
Follow up on survey requirements
Produce necessary documentation such as cover confirmations and policies
Monitor client satisfaction and support administrative tasks
Participate in projects as assigned
Utilize Flexi diary for follow-ups and reminders
Perform underwriting duties, including obtaining quotations and documentation
Update records regularly and accurately
Report suspicious activities
Perform other duties as assigned
