Travel Consultant – German SpeakingLocation : Bantry Bay, Cape TownSalary : R50k – R60k per monthAbout the Role :Opportunity available for a German Speaking Travel Consultant for an established boutique travel consultancy specialising in destinations across Southern Africa.Requirements :Fluency in both German and EnglishMinimum of 2 years' experience as a Tour Consultant, Travel Agent, Travel Planner within South or Southern AfricaFIT experience including preparation of itineraries for individual travellers and small groupsMinimum of 2 years' experience in handling inbound incentive groups into South and Southern AfricaGood knowledge of all Southern & Eastern African countriesGood supplier knowledge in the field of Group and Incentive suppliers, at least in South AfricaSouth African work permit if Non-South AfricanDriver's license and own transportMicrosoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and any other graphic programs are a bonusResponsibilities :Prepare costings and itineraries from A to Z for individual travellers, and/or MICE groupsOperational handling from A to Z of leisure bookings and/or groups and inbound incentives in South & Southern Africa, guided within the 01st yearPreparing proposals (mainly PowerPoint and Excel)Writing proposals and program descriptions in both German and EnglishLiaising with clients and suppliers in both German and EnglishNegotiating with suppliersReconciliation (financially) of own projectsHandling all invoices and payments regarding clients and suppliersResearch of suitable services and suppliers
