Job Purpose

The Transformation Manager uses our values and expectations to drive actions and decisions and role models values and expectations.
And is responsible for ensuring compliance as per South Africa’s Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) legislation, drive the Transformation strategy for GSK South Africa and GSK Consumer Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
Must enable South & Southern Africa Team to create solutions that unlock the 5 pillars of the BBBEE framework.
Compliance to legislation and B-BBEE codes – compiling the BEE tracking scorecard. Communicate, co-ordinate and monitor progress and activities in all scorecard elements.
Support, monitor and improve the B-BBEE compliance of all GSK entities (Consumer Health, Supply Chain Cape Town & Pharma division). Will be required to travel or be based in Cape Town to provide close monitoring and support of the site.
Compiling and reviewing B-BBEE submissions to the verification agency and project managing the verification process.
Risk Monitoring and Management. Design monitoring and reporting on Transformation agenda, conducts Management Monitoring. Development of tools and methodologies to track and measure effective B-BBEE performance for each Chain/BU.
Support and effectively communicate the company’s Culture Strategy in various platforms such as the Transformation & Change Champions Committee (formerly known as Employment Equity Committee).
Together with the Transformation Lead must monitor progress against the Employment Equity plan.
Stakeholder Relationship Building, Networking and Management. .
Identify, develop and maintain relationships with key strategic partners according to the Transformation strategy. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on relevant issues supporting the transformation strategy. Participate in relevant forums both internally and externally. Network with relevant government department, NGO's, associations and business partners on the Transformation strategy and share learnings.
Support manage flagship transformation projects, managing risks and opportunities associated with transformational change and business process reengineering, taking all steps to mitigate/exploit these to ensure that the transformation programme is successfully delivered. Examples of flagship transformation project include the Graduate program.

Strong relationships with major players in the Transformation space ie SANAS (South African National Accreditation System), the Dti Department of Trade & Industry and CHIETA The Chemical Industries Education & Training Authority – SETA)
B-BBEE Codes are constantly changing and input from various stakeholders is at times required. Strong established relationship with these stakeholders is therefore required.
