•Oversee and monitor training programmes that include web-based seminars, digital learning, printed manuals, group sessions, training videos, and more
•Determine training needs, assessments and surveys in order to meet organisational requirements as well as perform regular evaluations to assess effectiveness.
•Review existing training materials produced by third parties to determine appropriateness and relevance in line with organisational goals and objectives.
•Modify or create course materials and training manuals to meet specific training needs
•Monitor training programmes and manuals to ensure that they are effective and up-to-date and make updates as necessary
•Work with managers to address learning issues, instruction problems, or new educational needs regarding specific employees or departments
•Manage costs for all programmes/training, productions, and publications in order to report to organisation executives regarding a return on investment
•Liaise with relevant SETA’s in terms of enrolling learnership and internship programs, reporting in terms work skills plans and annual training, as well as ensuring accreditation with same.
•Maintain understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods.
•Manage the training department personnel. Manage the Internship and Learnership candidates, mentorship program and including Learn to Lead program.
•Self-inform through attending trainings/seminars/meetings in order to keep to industry norms and trends (WRSETA/SANAS/DTI/SAQA/QCTO etc.).
•Responsible to ensure that sound administration and record systems are in place and maintained at all times.
•Responsible to administer, compile and to submit Annual Training Reports (ATR) as well as Work Skills Plans (WSP) to WRSETA.
•Ensure accreditation of in-house training facilitators and training facility.
•Collaborate with TVET colleges while ensuring brand exposure.
•Perform adhoc duties and tasks

RequirementsKEY COMPETENCIES:
•Ensure that strategic training is provided, facilitate study needs through bursaries and including optimal utilization of digital learning.
•Ensure that efficient and appropriate training service is professionally delivered.
•Reduce and maintain low staff turnover through training interventions.
•Plan and monitor departmental training budgets and/or costs.
•Ensure submission of skills plans, invoices, registers and relevant documentation to WRSETA

Minimum Requirements:
•Grade 12
•Relevant Post Graduate qualification
•5 years applicable experience on same industry as a Training Manager
•Experience in training and team management, design and facilitation
•Extensive experience with appropriate computer software, including Ms Office, Moodle etc.
•Good communication, presentation, coaching and report writing skills
