What You Will Do As the TMM Engineer , you will be responsible for overseeing, managing, and coordinating all maintenance activities for Heavy Mining Equipment (HME) and Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) in an underground mining environment.
Key Responsibilities: TMM Maintenance & Performance: Oversee maintenance of Haul Trucks, Load-Haul Dumpers (LHDs), Drill Rigs, Roof Bolters, Scales, Lifting Equipment, Long Hole Drill Rigs (Sandvik, Epiroc) Drive performance and operational excellence in maintenance Compliance & Safety Management: Ensure TMM Code of Practice (COP) and MHSA legal compliance Manage workshop operations, safety protocols, and contract management Continuous Improvement & Cost Control: Implement cost-saving initiatives Stay updated with industry advancements in maintenance practices Leadership & Management: Work effectively under pressure with strong managerial skills Lead and manage teams within the maintenance department Communicate fluently in English (read, write, speak) Requirements What We Are Looking For Minimum Qualifications & Experience: Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) – Mines (Electrical/Mechanical) BSc Mechanical Engineering / BTech Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / N6 Mechanical Trade 5-7 years post-GCC experience in an underground Trackless Engineering environment 5+ years experience managing maintenance of heavy mining equipment (Haul Trucks, LHDs, Drill Rigs, etc.)
