Responsibilities: Focus on advanced test cases to realize the early identification of defects and systems failures Actively participate in the Testing Lifecycle Execute a varied range of multiple complexity test cases as assigned and defects recorded as per divisional policy and procedures Actively and continuously update the defect management systems throughout the day to reflect accurate and timeous defect registration, status, and enabling management thereof Actively participate in all Testing Levels (Unit / Systems/ Regression/ Stability / Distribution / Disaster recover, etc.) Test activities that verify a specific action or function of the application and test objective and output answers the questions "can the user do this" or "does this particular feature work Perform compatibility testing to prevent software failure due to compatibility between application software, operating systems, or operating systems versions such as Desktop Applications, Web Browsers i.e. Internet Explorer new versions etc. Perform backward compatibility testing of the latest software versions that not all users may be running on Daily execution of workload in relation to testing lifecycle activities and assigned role Apply and utilize systems in a manner that ensures efficient and effective service delivery, optimized quality, financial accuracy, and calculation Requirements: MS Word MS Excel MS PowerPoint and MS Project Must have experience with the following: Functional Testing Automation Testing Performance Testing Must have the ability to interact effectively with other teams involved in project and maintenance testing effort. Must have an in-depth knowledge of HP Quality Centre, ITIL and COBIT. Standard operating procedure compliance System Thinking Automated Unit Testing Business Knowledge Data Collection and Analysis Efficiency Improvement Functional Analysis and UAT Functional Policies and Procedures Quality Orientation IT Development Test Case Planning/Test Plan Creation Test Case Creation Test Case Execution Defect logging Retesting of defects Code interpretation and reading e.g. XML, Jenkins, etc. Knowledge Management Education: Degree in Computer Science or equivalent Certification in Software Testing
