Details of the offer

To assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security Systems.
National Diploma in Safety Management or equivalent will be an advantage
5 years experience in the maintenance of the HSE System in line with the requirements of ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001

Ensure Company compliance to all National and International standards with respect to Occupational Health & Safety
Assist to ensure compliance with relevant Environmental, Health and Safety legislation to ensure that the company conforms to both local and national standards.
Assist in the development of the EHSS integrated management system.
Coordinate and execute some internal EHSS training.
Investigate all work related incidents establish root cause.
Assist with coordination of internal and external EHSS audits, non-conformances and reviews to ensure compliance with legislation
Ensure effective management of contractors on site daily through the processes in place
Accurately compile and submit monthly EHSS reports on time and in full
Assist to compile EHSS Risk Profile and constant review and updating of risk assessments for all tasks and activities as per procedure.
Management of the EHS Observation Card System
Develop and facilitate EHSS awareness through training, toolbox talks and job safety evaluations
Facilitate EHSS inductions for new employees and contractors
Ensure that employees travelling internationally are taken through the Away From Base (AFB) Awareness program
All employees travelling internationally have an updated “Yellow” Card and have the necessary vaccinations and medication for the country of destination.
Assist in the Management of onsite Security Contract

Writing and submitting of reports/forms for all sites and developments
Complete and submit monthly reports for facilities in Port Elizabeth
Keep internal incident reporting systems up to date
Develop minutes of meetings and distribute
Develop EHSS System Documentation as required

Emergency Response and First Aid §
Co-ordinate Emergency Response Training
Co-Ordinate and Facilitate annual drills

Quality assurance §
Carrying out all duties in accordance with the quality assurance procedures / departmental works instructions.

Safety, Sanitation, Security, Housekeeping
Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
Assist in maintaining the security of the company.
Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
Comply with EHSS standards.
Obey all speed limits.
Wear all safety equipment (PPE).
Report all deviations and defects to supervisor.
Dispose all waste correctly and on a continuous basis.
Adhere to all safety instructions regarding clear walkways and obstructions
