Technical Sales Support

OverviewA leading organization in the engineering and minerals processing industry is looking for a Technical Sales Support – Pyro specialist.
This role focuses on providing technical solutions and support for complex product scopes, ensuring that customer needs are met through expert advice and troubleshooting.The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in pyro-processing equipment, experience in sales support, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and customers.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide technical expertise for troubleshooting, operations, and maintenance of pyro-processing equipment.Assist with site visits, digital/remote support (Augmented Reality), and customer inquiries.Support warranty claims, customer complaints, and technical training (both internal and external).Work closely with sales teams to provide technical input and ensure the right solutions are offered to customers.Assist with quotations, solution definitions, and inspections for equipment upgrades and spare parts.Collaborate with Field Services teams, ensuring they have the necessary technical information.Identify repeatable sales opportunities through installed base validation and data analysis.Participate in technical sales planning, including forecasting, opportunity tracking, and proposal development.Travel across Africa and globally to support sales efforts, conduct inspections, and provide technical training.Key RequirementsBachelor's degree (BTech/BSc/BEng) in Metallurgical or Process Engineering.Minimum 5 years of field experience in process equipment, particularly in minerals processing.Experience in technical sales support with knowledge of sales processes and financials.Strong familiarity with minerals processing equipment and applications.Advanced verbal, written, and interpersonal skills to manage internal and external relationships.High computer literacy (MS Office, SalesForce knowledge is an advantage).Valid driver's license with the ability to travel frequently.Technical Expertise in the Following Equipment is Advantageous:Fluid Bed, Rotary Dryers, and CoolersHolo-Flite Thermal ProcessorRotary KilnsElectric HeatersGrate Chain KilnsBurner Combustion SystemsTravel Grate Sinter MachinesSkills & Competencies:Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.Passion for customer service, technical support, and relationship building.Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.What's in It for You?Exciting career growth opportunities in a highly specialized industry.Hybrid work environment, balancing in-office collaboration with flexible remote work.Exposure to global projects, advanced technologies, and continuous learning programs.Competitive compensation and incentive programs.Work with a team dedicated to sustainability and innovation in minerals processing.
