The successful candidate must have a meticulous and thorough approach to work, and be able to perform well under pressure. A relevant tertiary qualification (B.Sc Honours/M.Sc Soil Science and/or Horticulture) and approximately 5 years relevant experience in a similar business environment and industry, are minimum requirements for the role. Candidates with practical experience in the setup and management of plant nutrition programmes pertaining to permanent crops, and excellent computer skills (MS Office specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint), will be given preference. The successful candidate will report to the Technical Division Head and responsibilities will include: Determining and defining scope and objectives of various Nexus technical projects, in collaboration with other Technical Managers - with a focus on total crop management programs; Collection, processing, and interpretation of relevant information for the establishment of technical projects, and crop management programs; Direct and regular engagement with all role players including customers, distributors, suppliers and industry bodies; Providing technical advice and support to customers and distributors; Guidance regarding research, product development, technical training and strategic development; All administrative tasks related to the position.
