To provide guidance in the implementation, installation, configuration, and testing of system software on all relevant mainframes to code and automate tasks that optimize processing aligned to business requirements.
Responsibilities include:

Delivering against operational and cost targets.
Installation and setup of workstations and servers for all mainstream manufacturers (IBM, HP Dell).
Performing daily capacity and health checks, software maintenance, and customization.
Managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS.
Creating batch schedules and change orders, coding basic JCL and automation.
Supporting batch FTP, managing FTP encryption data, and analyzing/changing batch schedules as requested.
Controlling illegal intrusions and managing the group corporate server infrastructure.
Advising on security enhancements, managing backup systems, and controlling server and network hardware to prevent downtime.
Prioritizing resource allocation, identifying risks, and building relationships to manage expectations and share knowledge.
Engaging in cross-functional support, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining compliance with policies and standards.
Researching and implementing improvements, streamlining processes, monitoring customer feedback, and assessing personal performance and development needs.
