Job Summary

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To supervise and provide efficient and effective caretaking support to the site by ensuring the general appearance of the yard, surrounding areas are maintained and vehicle washed in accordance with the required standards
Responsible for all planned preventative maintenance on site, including but not limited to proactive and reactive work
Monthly report writing
Responsible for site health and safety compliance:- Safety file is updated, staff comply to health and safety, safe working procedures, risk assessment, permit
Responsible for ordering material, chemical and equipment and maintain stock up to date
Required to perform cleaning of substation, cleaning trenches, vehicle wash, grass cutting using brush cutter, lifting duties at the depot
Assist with daily litter picks, sweeping of hard surfaces, emptying of litter bins, attending to planters
Support with other cleaning duties as and when required

Use of brush cutter and lawn mower and mechanical equipment,
Knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions and an awareness of health and hygiene procedures
Literacy and numeracy skills
Minimum Grade 10 qualification
Any Technical Artisan Trade test qualification will be an advantage
Brush cutter operator certificate will be an advantage
Driver's license will be an advantage
Must have no criminal record
Able to speak English
