The appointee should
:Be in possession of a relevant Tertiary Financial qualification.
Be competent in using the SAP ERP system.
Have a minimum of 3 years appropriate experience in a financial environment.
Have appropriate experience in management accounting, supportive service departments and proper understanding of supply chain policies and procedures.
Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package and relevant financial packages.
Demonstrate integrity and above-average interpersonal abilities.
Be a self-starter, able to work independently, possess sound analytical and exceptional reporting competencies, with unquestionable integrity.
Have solid understanding of internal control (SOX) and procedures.
Be prepared to work extended hours on an ad hoc basis.
Hold a valid driver’s licence, have own transport and be able to travel.
Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.
Advantageous requirements:
Experience with the COUPA procurement system.
Having experience in managing or supervising teams in own area of responsibility.
Key responsibilities:
Ensuring effective management accounting services provided within the Integrated Services environment, namely: budgeting, forecasting, variable cost control, month-end procedures and reporting.
Performing all allocated work related tasks in accordance to mandatory standards.
Implement and maintain required cost and budget controls.
Complete monthly, quarterly and yearly financial transactions as per required standard.
Liaising and resolving outstanding commitments with stakeholders and line management within acceptable timeframes.
Timeous compilation and resolving of general ledger reconciliation queries.
Ensuring SOX compliance.
Perform other duties i.e. projects requested by senior management, cost-benefit and industry benchmarking analysis.
All other administrative tasks associated with the position.
