Duties: Project management Design, plan and oversee the construction of: New buildings Bridges Alterations and extensions to existing properties or other structures Preparing reports, designs and drawings Making calculations pertaining to loads and stresses Selecting appropriate construction materials Providing technical advice Obtaining planning and/or building regulations approval Liaising with: Architects Contractors Sub-contractors Clients Monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors Administering contracts Inspecting properties to approve conditions, foundations etc Requirements: Degree in Structural Engineering Minimum 8 years experience ECSA registration preferred Contactable references
