Our client in Port Elizabeth is seeking a Stock Controller to oversee the inventory operations by ensuring that all materials, components and finished products are efficiently handled, maintained and stored correctly.
The Stock Controller will be responsible for the efficient receiving and dispatching of all stock, ensuring that the correct stock is on hand and picked accordingly for all projects.The responsibilities include:Oversee daily stock movements ensuring accurate inventory recordsManage the stock level, placing orders with suppliers and ensuring timely deliveries to meet project deadlinesConduct regular stock auditsWork with purchasing and project teams to ensure efficient stock management and availability of required materialsOrganize and maintain the warehouse, ensuring all stock is stored safely and correctlyIdentify opportunities for process improvementProvide reports to management regarding stock levels, orders and potential issuesRequirements:Prior experience within the electrical field is advantageousLogistics / Supply Chain qualification will be advantageousProven experience as a stock controller or similar roleStrong understanding of inventory management systems and stock control processesProven experience with stock counts / cycle counts and maintaining inventory accuracyProficient in Microsoft Excel and stock management systems
