An opportunity exists for an exceptional Chef/Cook to join the school as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the production of meals and assisting in kitchen operations before, during and after the service of meals.
Ensure that the kitchen and the related areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
Relevant Qualifications and Experience:
5+ years’ experience in the hospitality industry as a chef or cook.
Matric
Catering qualification advantageous
English (Grade 12) comprehension and writing skills are required in order to understand requisitions, and works instructions, converse with customers and service providers and write basic reports
Basic Numeracy skills: able to conduct a basic report, to complete HR staff records – at least a literacy level of NQF level of ABET 4, but preferably above
Basic administrative experience
A sound work ethic, good people skills, and a positive attitude are important requirements for the job
The person also needs to support the Christian ethos of the school
