Specialist Pricing

Description : The Pricing Specialist is responsible for researching, analysing, updating, and monitoring all information and data relevant to Service and Maintenance plans, as well as other non-regulated product pricing.The role aims to ensure all products are priced competitively and profitably.Minimum Requirements :EducationEssential: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or similar; Equivalent NQF Level 7 QualificationPreferred: Technical qualification in Automotive Motor Mechanic or similar fieldExperienceEssential: Minimum of 3 years in product cost estimation and analysis within a pricing environment or similar role, preferably in Automotive or Short-term Insurance IndustryStrong analytical and quantitative skillsProficient in data analysis and pricing software/toolsPreferred SkillsFinancial modelling and analytical skillsProficiency in SQL and BI tools (e.g., Power BI)Knowledge of data analysis techniques and modern technology tools for pricing initiativesKey ResponsibilitiesFinance :Develop, maintain, and implement optimal pricing modelsDetermine and set pricing for Service, Maintenance, and other non-regulated products to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and profitabilityEvaluate loss ratios and relevant factors to inform pricing modelsMaintain and update pricing methodologies for different scenariosResearch relevant information for pricing strategiesPresent data analytics and recommendations to managementSupport ad-hoc projects as neededRisk and Compliance :Identify, assess, and mitigate risks in pricing strategies and modelsEnsure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulationsStay updated on regulatory changes and incorporate into strategiesCustomer :Understand business needs and promote a customer service cultureSupport new business processes in line with requirementsEnsure SLAs are met and promote positive customer experiencesPeople :Foster a culture of ownership and accountability aligned with company values
