To provide subject matter expertise to the Cost Optimisation Function within Facilities Management, Real Estate Services, as it relates to the management of contractual obligations, renewals, deviations, process analysis, cost interrogation and control, usage and consumption of all consumables utilised in the provision of Facilities Management services across all provinces and regions within South Africa in order to optimise cost savings and ensure sound financial control.
Qualifications
Qualification: A Degree in Business Commerce.A Degree inPurchasing and Procurement.A tertiary degree in Business Commerce, Facilities Information, Procurement or Supply Chain would be a minimum requirement for this job.Additional studies in Facilities Management would be required.Experience: The role requires an incumbent with a thorough understanding of the entire Real Estate Services value chain but with specific focus on facilities management, inventory control, vendor management and supply chain processes. Demonstrated experience in performing cost analysis in order to identify specific areas for cost optimisation.The incumbent must have experience in scoping service level agreements in order to assess operational performance and delivery of services from external vendors. Additional Information Key Responsibilities: Monitor and control financial expenditure and overhead costs to ensure that all departments are aware of costs, particularly when there have been deviations from the acceptable norm.Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements to mitigate risks for the organisation.Provide subject matter expertise on the management of contractual obligations, renewals, deviations, process analysis and cost interrogation and control, usage and consumption of all consumables utilised in the provision of Facilities Management services nationally within South Africa.Establish and maintain professional and effective relationships and good responsive communication with all Facilities Management vendors and service providers across South Africa in order to ensure operational delivery as per service level agreements.Compile and present reports to senior leaders and Exco's which include explanations and reasons identified for variances from targets, as well as proposed solutions and rectification of processes to ensure that variances are reduced.
