As part of the DHL Group, you will be working with a global network of Procurement colleagues and benefit from a wide range of development opportunities.We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in EMEA at Olifantsfontein or Midrand, South Africa.Job Purpose:Implement local and regional category-specific strategies.
Work closely with regional and sub-regional procurement teams to identify and recommend 'best in class' suppliers and maintain good relationships.
Prepare and lead supplier negotiations at the local level.Your tasks:Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research/intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets, and establishment of local or sub-regional frame contracts.
Identification of strategic sourcing opportunities and development and management of strategic suppliers is key.Integrate Procurement as a value-adding service at the sub-regional/country level with the country DHL divisions by executing a professional Business Relationship Management.
Achieve the greatest value contribution, benefit realization, and efficiency from all procurement activities while ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price, and service.Provide professionalized strategic sourcing of goods and services and transportation capacities to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business/function in scope.Your profile:3-3.5+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing or Procurement.Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional qualification.Fluent in English (written and spoken).Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.We offer:Great opportunity to work for the biggest logistics company in the world.International and virtual environment.Flexibility and great opportunity to learn.Tempting compensation and benefits.DHL is an equal opportunity employer.
