Solution Sales Specialist - Mining & Allied Industries

This role requires a strong consultative sales approach, a deep understanding of industry challenges, and the ability to align our weather intelligence solutions with client needs.
Key Responsibilities: 1.
Client Engagement & Business Development Establish, nurture, and manage long-term relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within the Mining and Allied industries.
Identify and develop new business opportunities, building a strong sales pipeline through proactive outreach and industry networking.
Serve as a trusted advisor, understanding client challenges and positioning the client's solutions to maximize value and impact.

Solution Selling & Consultative Sales Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand client pain points, operational risks, and business objectives.
Develop and present tailored solutions, demonstrating the impact of technologies on risk mitigation, operational efficiency, and cost savings.
Effectively communicate complex weather and environmental data insights in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from initial engagement to proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.

Market Intelligence & Strategic Sales Execution Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to inform and refine sales strategies.
Identify market gaps and opportunities, contributing insights to product development and service enhancements.
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales performance, and market feedback using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot).

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Engagement Work closely with technical, product, and support teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions.
Provide feedback from the field to inform business development strategies, service improvements, and customer success initiatives.
Partner with marketing teams to drive targeted campaigns, lead generation, and industry engagement.

Travel & Industry Representation Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the client and build strategic connections.
Conduct on-site visits to client locations for consultations, solution demonstrations, and relationship management.
Qualifications & Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years experience in solution sales, preferably within the Mining and Allied industries.
Proven ability to develop, manage, and close complex sales cycles using a consultative approach.
Strong knowledge of solution-based sales methodologies and experience in selling technology-driven products or services.
Demonstrated ability to engage with C-suite executives, operational managers, and procurement teams.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot) and managing a sales pipeline efficiently.
Willingness to travel regionally to engage with clients and attend industry events.
Preferred: Bachelors degree or technical diploma in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, Meteorology, or a related field.
Strong network and industry contacts within the Mining and Allied industries.
Experience in selling data-driven solutions, SaaS products, or risk management services.
Knowledge of weather intelligence applications and their role in mining operations, logistics, and environmental compliance.
