Pearson Marketing Cloud (PMC) is our Global Technology Platform that enables customers to access learning products and services through eCommerce and Digital Marketing journeys. We currently process more than 80% of global Pearson eCommerce revenue and serves nearly 50% of all Pearson web traffic, with over 24million page views per month.
We are looking for a high performing Solution Architect with extensive experience with large scale eCommerce and Web Content management implementations. Our mission is to deliver re-usable components and capabilities across our global platform for eCommerce and Content using the latest enterprise technologies, tools and innovative micro-services architecture.

As a solution architect you will:
Define scalable logical and physical solution architectures
Architect Digital Consumer experiences based on a foundation of enterprise technologies including SAP Commerce Cloud/Hybris, Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), CQ and Shopify.
Define system integration architectures
Ensure the global eCommerce solution adheres to non-functional , and com p liance requirements at the local markets.
Develop technical best practices and ensure adherence to them
Define code and development standards
Have o verall responsibility for the quality of the technical solution delivered by the project teams
Work with project management and business analysts to manage the flexible scope with business owners
Work with partner System Integrators
Provide t echnical leadership and mentoring of technical leads and development teams
Have a s trong focus on the high quality throughout the entire process, working closely with the Quality Assurance stream
Collaborate with Enterprise Architects for aspects related to integration with other systems
Qualifications
Skills & Abilities
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent, with strong fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
Strong solutions architecture experience with complex enterprise solutions.
Good understanding of Content Management Systems. Specific knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) is a bonus.
Strong experience delivering scalable eCommerce solutions. Specific knowledge of SAP Commerce Cloud/Hybris is a bonus.
K nowledge of AWS cloud architecture, including auto-scaling and global deployments of application architecture
J2EE, Design Patterns, Non-Functional Requirements.
Min 8+ years industry experience.
Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, relational databases, complex integration landscapes.
Experience coaching and mentoring technology talent.
