Male circumcision is surgical removal of the foreskin - the retractable fold of tissue that covers the head of the penis. The inner aspect of the foreskin is highly susceptible to HIV infections. Our trained health professionals can safely remove the foreskin of males 15 years and older (medical male circumcision).Duties & Responsibilities
Daily recruitment
Weekly campaigns
Door-to-door recruitment
School visits
Community outreach
Flyer distribution
Taking names and contact details of men interested in VMMC and helping book clients
Maintain documentation and draft/submit weekly reports on geographical areas covered, no of clients reached, number of males reached for services
Work with Outreach Officer and Clinical team to ensure that clients are booked and arrive for services
Participate in staff meetings and appropriate training workshops
Submit lead/mobiliser log-sheet to Outreach Officer
Provide informed consent forms to minors (15-17 years)
Work closely with Outreach Officer in conducting and analysis of existing demand creation activities
Must meet set targets
Must adhere to demand creation SOPs
Requirements
Must be a resident in the above listed location
Can read and write
Have outstanding communication skills
Non-judgemental, trustworthy and empathetic personality
Have the ability to approach clients
Must have presentation skills
Have the ability to work non-traditional hours which may include weekends from time to time
Fluent in the local language(s)/Ability to communicate in multiple South African languages
Have the ability to travel as and when required
