MAIN PURPOSE
A dynamic team player is required in our Produce department to drive our competitive edge through the delivery of quality, safety, sustainability, availability, and innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure brand integrity and product safety.
Lead and execute the implementation of Business Vision Zero as part of the regenerative farming strategy.
Support suppliers and farmers through knowledge sharing and advice.
Create and trial new, innovative Integrated Pest Management solutions and agricultural practices that meet customer and brand expectations.
Support the development and implementation of category strategies to ensure consistent product availability, focusing on regional product and supplier selection.
Manage and monitor technical functions to meet departmental KPIs.
Ensure suppliers provide quality products consistently according to business standards.
Educate and share knowledge with category members, suppliers, and the organization.
Ensure company policies meet legal agricultural requirements and set standards with suppliers.
Build customer trust by ensuring food safety, quality, and product consistency, and prevent non-compliance issues.
Support continuous professional growth and contribute to colleague training and development.
KEY COMPETENCIES

BSc in Agriculture or related fields such as entomology, soil science, plant pathology, horticulture.
Relevant experience in the produce industry, particularly in agronomy and regenerative farming.
8-10 years of experience in the produce industry.
Experience in retail or corporate environments and teamwork is advantageous.
Strong quality-oriented mindset.

Confident team leadership abilities.
Business acumen, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
Networking, influencing, and communication skills within the produce industry.
