Leading a team of Junior Engineers and Technologists which provides support to the operational departments. This includes managing projects to design, implement, stabilize and continuously improve the logistical processes and systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
B.Eng. Industrial, B.Eng. Mechanical
Masters diploma / NQF level 8. (This would include an Honours degree. Could take 1 to 2 years to complete)
Up to 5 years experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Planning, Cyclic Logistics
Proven track record of Successful Project Management
Previous leadership experience
Prior Automotive experience will be an advantage

KNOWLEDGE NEEDED
In-depth professional knowledge and experience in a specialised field or broad knowledge of a number of fields
(The knowledge and skills would enable the job holder to make interpretive decisions affecting more than one area of the business, e.g. Senior Systems Analyst, Senior Consultant, Marketing Manager, Factory Manager.)
*Professional knowledge is in depth knowledge of a specialist area gained through graduate and post graduate education, specialisation and experience in the appropriate field.
*Specialised field is a specialised branch of a discipline , e.g. job evaluation, category management, property law, systems architecture. Typically the job holder would require formal education and in depth experience to become an expert in a specialised field.
MS Excel, MSWord and MS PowerPoint experience is a pre-requisite.
Advanced Access, Excel, Visio, MS Project experience will be an advantage.
Knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles and Statistical data analyses
Knowledge of stock control procedures and regulations required.
Knowledge of Financial planning and viability studies will be an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of automotive material handling processes and procedures will be an advantage
Engineering and Technology— Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
Production and Processing— Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Mathematics— Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
Mechanical— Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Design— Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
English Language— Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
Administration and Management —Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Customer and Personal Service— Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
