Job Description
To implement, maintain, and continuously develop all HSE-related areas, including legal compliance, client requirements, and OI management system requirements, in accordance with local and global standards at the Bryanston Site.
Implement the business line OI Top page at the responsible site with the HOD Lab and administration in the Mineralogy Division.
Maintain and control OIMS and local HSE regulatory requirements at the responsible site.
Manage clear HSE communication among role players (OI, Site personnel, and Management).
Utilize global assessment tools (Stellar) and conduct audits/inspections.
Promote HSE awareness through campaigns, communications, etc., across the site.
Conduct OI training aligned with OIMS and local regulations.
Supervise SHE Reps for the site.
Assist with access control in Bryanston.
Report and manage incidents, near misses, hazards, and best practices as per group expectations.
Conduct incident investigations.
Report incidents, near misses, hazards, and site KPIs.
Facilitate risk assessments using the Crystal module for all Mineralogy operations.
Implement global OI initiatives where applicable (e.g., Safe Start, Stellar, Safety Month, etc.).
Ensure implementation of corrective actions from incidents and best practices.
Conduct Level 4 compliance audits and inspections, providing guidance on areas of improvement.
Review and update business processes and procedures as needed.
Assist with internal and external audits, client visits, and regulatory inspections.
Conduct timely inspections and compile reports on HSE matters.
Adhere to all safety requirements of the SGS management system.
Support other tasks as assigned to support the overall OI strategy.
Qualifications
Education
SAMTRAC / NEBOSH (Completed or in progress)
Experience
At least 5 years of relevant HSE management experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office software
Experience in document and report writing
