As a Shut Down Maintenance & Expediting Engineer you will be responsible to:Recognize, evaluate, and coordinate risk related maintenance activities to ensure compliance to maintenance strategy, schedule and supporting processes and procedures. Control, coordinate, and expedite the demand for spares of critical maintenance related activities based on preventative maintenance schedules.Define, measure, analyze, improve, and control all asset management activities and performance within the asset management framework.
Job description
Expediting:1. Identify and align material resource requirements and planning with preventative maintenance schedule.2. Evaluates maintenance schedules and progress reports from suppliers/procurement to determine spares availability and deliverable timeline.3. Coordinate maintenance schedule, requirements and required delivery dates. Instructing suppliers/procurement accordingly.4. Drive and maintain expediting systemShut Down Maintenance:1. Risk based management and coordination of all planning, scheduling, and reliability requirements.2. Continuous asset improvement/optimization.3. Implementation, continuous improvement, and optimization of the Asset Management Framework.4. Implementation, continuous improvement, and optimization of the Maintenance Strategy.5. Ensure Information system alignment, upkeep, and optimization.6. Support establishment and refinement of maintenance strategies, in consultation with Production, Maintenance and OEM’s to ensure that PM’s and routine component replacement activities will deliver the desired equipment performance – e.g. equipment availability/reliability targets.7. Schedule all shutdown maintenance activities (work orders) in consultation with Production and Maintenance, including short-term changes to the maintenance schedules based upon Production, Maintenance and Supply requirements.Reviews work orders for planned work, scheduled start date and released status, ensuring the work orders to meet resource requirements, materials and tooling requirements.Minimum requirements
High school certificate
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineer
Certificate in maintenance planning and scheduling will be advantageous
5 to 10 years of practical experience in the maintenance or related
SkillsGood communication and written skills
Strong computer and report writing skills
Ability to apply knowledge of standards, methods and procedures to work situation
Knowledge of Pronto Software
Ability to work independently and effective team player
High regard for safe work practices and procedures
