Shift Supervisor

At least 2-3 years experience in production / machine maintenance and 2-3 years experience in team supervision. Grade 12, with English and Mathematics Any related certificates or diplomas would be advantageous. Machine maintenance / experience will be advantageous. Supervisory / management / 1st line leadership certificates will be beneficial. Computer Literate / Ability to clearly communicate (written and verbal) / Leading a team. Duties will include, but are not limited to: Supervise, delegate, and organise a production team, cleaners and other general labourers to ensure shift targets are reached. Perform product inspections and work together with quality control staff to ensure the highest possible product quality, and to minimise re-work and wastage. Oversee and monitor all consumables and raw materials to ensure stock levels are sufficient for continuous production. Conduct stock keeping and reporting. Perform root causes analysis for any production challenges. Propose solutions. Ensure staff adherence to all Health & Safety rules and regulations and overall housekeeping requirements. Perform production related data capturing, and report to management. Perform basic repairs and maintenance where possible and report faulty machines immediately.
