Position: HSEQ Officer We are looking for an HSEQ Officer to join our team.
The role involves overseeing HSEQ activities and ensuring that factory operations comply with Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality regulations and applicable legislation.
The incumbent will also assist with the implementation, maintenance, certification, and auditing of Integrated Management System principles.
Key Responsibilities: Driving HSE occupational and process safety activities as per standards, legal requirements, good practices, procedures, internal rules, and controls to ensure safety for oneself and others during daily activities.
Quantifying risks, managing them, and implementing mitigation measures, including owning the Process Risk Assessments and Workplace Risk Assessments, as well as conducting Root Cause Investigations for all production areas and actions.
Reporting incidents, unsafe, or unhealthy conditions to the employer or health and safety representative as soon as possible.
Acting as OHSA 16.2 and/or 8.2.i appointee.
Acting as OHSA GMR 2.1 appointee.
Ensuring the production of products meets legal requirements, Codes of Practice, and industry standards to ensure customer satisfaction.
Leading, managing, and implementing the departmental functional strategy within the site to ensure legal and internal compliance while maintaining a high standard of HSE&Q performance.
Managing daily departmental activities, including compiling, measuring, monitoring, and controlling objectives, resources, plans, and performance targets.
Developing documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, reports, plans, strategies, and presentations in line with local legislation, ISO/Integrated Management System methodologies, and best practices.
Engaging with external stakeholders and organizations regarding HSE&Q matters, ensuring compliance with registration and legal requirements.
Requirements: 5+ years of relevant experience in an LPG/manufacturing environment (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in Safety or Environmental Management (preferred).
Knowledge of OSHA, local HSE by-laws, environmental laws, and ISO 4706 standards.
Strong professional communication skills with clients, staff, and institutions.
