Manufacturing concern based on the East Rand has an opportunity for a qualified candidate with similar experience. Previous experience in the manufacturing / FMCG environments is highly recommended. Proven track record of successful performance and staff management essential.
KEY TASKS:
Develop and manage the shared services function encompassing accounts receivable and accounts payable
Drive productivity and other improvements in the shared services function
Establish KPI’s through which to measure performance and success of improvement initiatives
Lead development of working capital (WCAP) forecast model in conjunction with Financial Controllers
Develop team making most of their abilities and skills
Management and improvement of:
Sales and receivables and Purchases and payables processes
Setting and adhering to cash collection and disbursement targets in line with forecasts
Measurement and reporting of activity to ensure KPI compliance and adequate resourcing
Measurement and reporting of errors including credit and debit note activity
Internal controls in relation to scope of responsibilities
Productivity and efficiency of operation of scope of responsibilities
Support monthly, half yearly and annual reporting cycles ensuring accurate, fair, and timely submissions of financial information to Group Finance
Support budget and quarterly forecasting cycles ensuring accurate, fair, and timely submissions of financial information to Group Finance
Assist with other Ad hoc requests
Leadership & Professional Due Diligence
Develop and manage the team to obtain technical and commercial knowledge to ensure best practice.
Provide effective leadership and management of Shared services team to enable it to deliver to expectation.
Ensure objectives of the department are met by driving a culture of accountability and execution.
To ensure effective governance.
To effectively manage internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Manage the development of policies, procedures and work instructions.
Skills/Abilities
Business management and leadership capability, knowledge of budgets and financial controls
Providing clear strategic vision and motivating and leading a team to deliver
A fast learner with an open manner and good interpersonal skills who can adapt quickly to the company’s operating environment and establish trust and respect at all levels internally and externally
Detail and result orientated with excellent leadership, communication and influencing skills
Requirements:
Completed Tertiary Financial qualification
10 - 15 years commercial experience
Manufacturing Experience
SAP; BAAN; Advanced Excel, Cognos Reporting and Power BI experience advantageous
