One of my clients is currently seeking a Senior Treasury Specialist.
This dynamic company has experienced significant growth at the executive corporate level.
The Senior Treasury Specialist will assist the Head of Treasury and Insurance with the region's treasury operations, including cash management, investment strategies, and financial risk management.As a Senior Treasury Specialist, you will be responsible for the following:Manage cash and liquidity through cash flow forecasting, planning, and analysis.Analyze and execute appropriate hedging and funding activities (e.g., forex, loans, deposits).Ensure adequate funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment needs.Manage relationships with banks.Review, negotiate, and provide regular cost benchmarks for contracts with banks.Maintain bank mandates, banking system users, and keep the bank database updated.Identify opportunities for improvement and implement treasury-related business process enhancements.Oversee exchange control applications and renewals.Develop and enforce robust internal controls, ensuring compliance with local regulations, the Internal Control Reference Framework (ICRF), and compliance requirements.Manage capital structuring and ensure the proper implementation and registration of loans and equity.Take responsibility for treasury reporting.Drive the digitization journey of the treasury department.Lead the implementation of the treasury management system and related process improvements.Oversee the treasury month-end closing process, including FEC journals and loan calculation schedules.Complete the Groups monthly debt and foreign currency reports.Develop and implement treasury procedures and controls.Review and update the treasury policy.Collaborate with internal and external auditors.Lead special projects as required.Perform any additional duties and activities assigned by management or the board.Requirements:5 to 8 years of experience in treasury management with an international company, including exposure to operations across the African continent.Strong expertise in treasury accounting, including FX, hedging, liquidity, cash flow management, and various financial instruments.In-depth knowledge of banking regulations across African countries.Proven experience in managing bank relationships.Solid understanding of general treasury operations and forecasting.Familiarity with financial instruments, credit facilities, and treasury best practices.Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including IFRS.Experience with treasury systems implementation and related digital tools.Proficient in ERP systems, preferably SAP.If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
