Senior Storeman

Village N Life is a leading luxury hotel brand based in Camps Bay. Our flagship, The Bay Hotel, seeks and experienced senior storeman to join our team. The main purpose of the position is to ensure that all stock levels are maintained, stored in the proper conditions and security of the stock.Minimum requirementsMatricMathematical acumen2 years experience as a storeman in a 4/5 star hotelInventory and stock management experienceOpera experience a plusMS Office (Word, Excel and email)Duties and responsibilitiesOrder goods and supplies to ensure maximum stock levels ae maintainedEnsure goods are received in the quantity and quality according to the agreed priceTo ensure that goods are stored at the correct temperatures and humidityEnsure stock rotation FIFOEnsure store rooms are kept neat as per company standardsEnsure maintenance of the stock rooms are performedLiaise with senior managers for purchasing of goods outside of the company parametersEnsure goods are issued against requisitionsNo entry to store rooms, except for stores staffInform management of spillage and wastage, and follow company procedures in such casesOrder goods through approved suppliers onlyManage stock levels and ensure wastage is kept to a minimumEffectively control costs of purchasingEnsure administration and stock counts are done without delayDue to the large volume of CV's received, please consider your application as unsuccessful if you have not heard from us in 2 weeks
