The position will be responsible for all aspects of QA within a specific team, including functional and non-functional testing.You will be responsible for developing test cases and implementing testing methods and tools to achieve this goal.
You will work closely with our Data, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure that developed functionality is fit for purpose.
Additionally, you will be responsible for defect monitoring and ensuring all logged issues are prioritised and fixed.
Senior QA engineers will also manage releases and ensure all documentation is up to date.Responsibilities will include:Create, update, and execute test plans and test cases for developed functionalityContinuously improve test coverage by implementing new manual and automated testsCreate and update internal QA documentation to ensure that tests are repeatableComplete non-functional testing like performance, stress, and security testsReview user stories to determine requirements, acceptance criteria, and test approachProvide regular feedback on functionality, usability, and defectsAssist customers, colleagues, and partners with troubleshooting guides and proceduresJoin the teams for Scrum ceremonies such as grooming, sprint planning, daily scrum stand-ups, retrospectives, etc.Bug/Defect logging and tracking all issues to ensure they are fixedWorking with development teams on product releasesAssisting other junior members of the team with testingCreating and maintaining automation tests for our API and UI automation suites.Release testing and managementContinuously looking to improve the websiteTHE COMPETENCIES WE'RE AFTERExcellent open communication and collaboration skillsStrong analytical thinker who is process drivenExcellent attention to detailAble to live, demonstrate and get excited about the Lula valuesYou think and put the customer firstProblem-solving and Root cause analysisMentoring and assisting junior members of the team with testingTHE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FORA relevant tertiary level qualification (BSc in Computer Science, BTech, BEng) or equivalent6+ years experience as a QA EngineerExperience across the full SDLC and understanding where QA fits into this processQA experience with a C#, cloud, Azure, asp.net-mvc technology stackExperience documenting test and design artifacts (use cases, success criteria, etc.
)Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, etc.Experience with automation testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium FrameworkExposure to database-driven testing (e.g.
Sql server, Postgres, MySql, SqlLite)Exposure to data quality, validation, and reasonability testingPerformance testing techniques and tools that help stress test and load testing applicationsExposure to testing of platforms that utilise micro-services and/or service-oriented architectureExposure to cloud-based environments, preferably AzureAgile development methodologiesExposure to source control (e.g.
