Purpose of the Job:The Senior Payroll Administrator will report directly to the National Group Payroll Manager. The Senior Payroll Administrator will be responsible for Payroll function highlighted below.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Audit multiple Payrolls Obtain Compliance Letters from Industry Bodies Budget recon Managing and processing of Pay Queries Liaising with Unions Handle TERS Payment Queries Completion of relevant returns and documentation (UI19, COIDA, etc) Monthly reports Investigating inefficiencies and providing recommendations and solutions Experience with 197 Transfers, LRA, BCEA, retrenchments, severance and relevant payroll calculations Experience with employee scheduling/rostering for a large work force Managing staff Other general payroll experience and knowledge Preparing and submitting all monthly and bi-annual required documents and returns to SARSMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Matric Certified Solid Computer Proficiency (Microsoft Office) Advanced skills in Excel with experience on Sage People, Pastel Payroll or VIP Payroll At least 5 years of direct Payroll/Profit Experience 5 years direct experience working in a National Payroll with multiple Offices Relevant Qualification will be advantageous Must be proficient in ALL Payroll functions Industry Knowledge an advantage (Security and Cleaning) Extensive knowledge of labour and taxation legislation Experience with Tax Directives Proficient on Ufiling and Easyfile Online Systems Capable of handling a Payroll of approximately 5 000 employeesCOMPETENCIES: Problem Solving Skills Excellent Peoples Skills Excellent basic arithmetic calculations Ability to demonstrate aptitude of using figures Excellent written and verbal communication Skills Ability to exercise discretion in disclosing information Excellent Organizational Skills in order to meet deadlines Attention to detail
