Job Summary Senior Marketing Manager: Marketplace Growth & Demand – Cape Town, South Africa (Hybrid).
Permanent, full‐time.
Reports to Managing Director, South Africa.
Leads marketing to drive marketplace growth, demand generation and revenue for Ticketmaster South Africa and Quicket.
What You Will Be Doing Own ticket sales growth driven by marketing: fan acquisition, conversion, repeat purchase behaviour and marketplace optimisation.
Optimise customer acquisition cost, channel performance and return on marketing investment.
Drive improved sell‐through rates across a diverse portfolio of events and markets.
Partner with Sales to support client acquisition, event supply growth, pipeline generation and commercial campaigns.
Develop targeted B2B marketing initiatives for promoters, venues, festivals, schools, corporates and independent organisers.
Create sales enablement materials – case studies, pitch decks, thought leadership and client communications.
Plan and execute campaigns across paid media, CRM, social, content and owned channels for both Ticketmaster and Quicket platforms.
Manage digital marketing budgets, agency partners and external suppliers to deliver a strong return on investment.
Use segmentation, testing and performance data to improve fan acquisition, conversion and repeat purchase.
Develop scalable, localised marketing playbooks to support market expansion across Africa.
Grow distribution channels, including affiliates, media, commerce integrations and distributed commerce partnerships.
Lead the positioning of Quicket as part of Ticketmaster, ensuring a clear, credible and commercially effective transition.
Ensure SEO, GEO and content best practices across digital platforms and campaign activities.
Provide regular reporting, insight and recommendations for B2C demand, B2B activity, campaign performance and channel efficiency.
Lead a small marketing team and manage consultants, part‐time staff, agencies and external partners, creating processes and reporting rhythms that improve execution and accountability.
What You Need to Know (Technical Skills) Proven experience in B2B and B2C marketing across marketplace, e‐commerce, demand‐led, live events, ticketing, entertainment or media environments.
Strong track record of driving revenue through marketing, experience managing CAC, LTV, ROI and marketing efficiency metrics.
Experience partnering with Sales teams to support lead generation, client acquisition, account growth and commercial campaigns.
Strong understanding of performance marketing, analytics, experimentation, segmentation and campaign optimisation.
Comfortable using modern digital marketing tools: paid media platforms, analytics such as GA4, CRM and email platforms, social media management tools and relevant AI productivity tools.
Experience managing marketing budgets, agencies, external partners and small teams.
Experience operating across multiple markets or regions; experience in Africa is advantageous.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong copywriting and client‐facing communication.
Relevant marketing degree, diploma or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work extended hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays when required.

Hands‐on and execution‐oriented, comfortable building practical processes that scale.

Organised, proactive and self‐motivated, strong time‐management and prioritisation skills.
Comfortable operating with autonomy in fast‐paced, high‐pressure environments.
Positive team player who communicates clearly, acts with integrity and creates an inclusive environment.
Willing to embrace AI tools and new ways of working to improve marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
